Methods to prevent the noise while the idler roller bearing is running

We may often hear the noise like “ka ca" if the feature of lubrication grease becomes bad when the idler roller bearing is under radial load. This is mainly because the idler roller speeds up and it collides with the retainer to make the noise. This collision is unavoidable but it would disappear naturally while the idler roller bearing has run for a while.

The methods to prevent the noise:

1. In order to keep the retainer move stably, we had better use rings to guide it and the lubrication of the surface must be enough. Improve the structure of the idler roller bearing working in high-speed condition, and change the type of retainer to model Z with ring guarding the side;

2. The amplitude of the retainer with big bearing clearance is much higher than that of with small bearing clearance, so the choice of the clearance is important;

3. We must try our best to decrease the radial clearance;

4. Enhance the precision of the retainer to improve its quality and decrease the noise made by the collision of the idler roller and retainer;

5. Using the advanced washing technology to wash the components and final products thoroughly, thus to enhance the cleanliness of the idler roller bearing.
